The tile guys showed up this morning after 9 a.m. to lay the last seven tiles of the last box at the back door to the garage and in the pantry. While one guy did that, the younger brother, cleaned the tiles and started putting in the bone colored grout. They finished up and left about noon.
While they were doing their work, Len was cut and measuring the new baseboards for the guest bathroom. After he cut them all perfectly (they are works of art in and of themselves), I stained and polyurathaned them to match the paneling. He cut and installed the new white base boards for the laundry room, and while I caulked the laundry room and buffed the new tile, Len installed the dishwasher. After supper we brought the washer and dryer from the garage in through the kitchen, using cardboard on the floors to prevent any marks in the new grout, and hooked them up. It is now 11:30 p.m. and I have already washed two batches of much-needed clothes. Tomorrow we will cut, stain, and install the new baseboards in the kitchen, and when Daddy comes from Sherman tomorrow evening, they will move the fridge from the game room back into the kitchen. (That is a feat all by itself - removing the food, removing the doors, getting the huge things through the kitchen doorway, the doors back on, the food put back in the fridge, etc.)
