Happy Reese, Granddaughter number Two!

Wednesday, September 21, 2011 - Our first day in Hartford.

First thing in the morning, Staci brought Reese to the living room as we were waking up. Reese was happy and smiling, and promptly showed us her push up and army crawl skills.

And of course, she showed us her smile.


She assumes the proper crawling positing, a version of yoga "plank", showing us how ready she is to start crawling. And she is only six months old in this picture.

When I watch her army crawling around the room, she looks too little to know how to do that. She is very mobile!



Her favorite mouth position, with a little tight lip and the start of a smile. She wasn't even scared at seeing her grandparents, though she did start fussing when she saw her mommy go through the room and NOT pick her up.





After going to the Big E State Fair on Thursday, September 22, we opened the gift from one of our purchases. This bag is a zipper bag. Two long long zippers that sip together to form a bag, including the handle.

I thought it was a perfect Geddes baby setting with Reese in her pink oncie. The only problem: Reese doesn't sit up by herself yet.


But she did sit up! I got her tucked in a couch groove and she stayed in the upright position long enough for me to snap this photo.






Is this lunch? As her usual procedure is to put things in her mouth, the zipper handle promptly went in also.







Saturday, September 24 we went to the community pool first thing in the morning to let the kids play in the water. Steve was helping Reese "swim", but mostly she just wanted her mommy.

The water was a little chilly this morning and Reese liked hugging her holder to keep her body warm. She helped keep me warm!



Does she remind you of Tatum at that age? She did me.








Aunt Kate had brought an October outfit for Reese and asked me to take it with me to Harford. Staci wanted to see if it would fit Reese, so just minutes before she drove us to the airport, she put Reese in the oncie with tooto so I could take a picture. I think she likes it!

And then they check out the photo. Doesn't she look like she is studying the photo to see it? She is very alert and smart.







She is looking at Grandpa Steve and reacting to what he is doing. Such a cute baby girl.








Oh, Reese, how much sweetness can one baby have? It was so much fun to hold you, play with you, kiss your sweet cheeks and help you go to sleep.

Thanks for the happiness and fun of being with you for three days. I can't wait for the next time we can be together. You are loved by Grandlady!
