Sorting through papers, looking for a mixer for the ward Christmas social this coming Friday night, I came across this paper. Words of wisdom from someone - handwritten on the back of an October Sacrament meeting program, many years ago when I was doing the bulletin each week:
1. What if you feel like critizing mistakes you may see in others? Ask yourself, before you begin, if you have faults.
2. Don't break promises, but work to earn a friend.
3. Many words are spoken in anger. These words come back to us.
4. Do not, just for the fun of it, toy with a person's glory. Take care of his fame as a treasure as special as your own name is special.
5. Do not make judgements at first meeting. Fast decisions may be wrong. Those people we thought of in a negative way may become our best friends.
