Family Photos, Ethan's Court of Honor, and Misc.

Ethan's display board for his Eagle Scout award.  He was one of thirteen Eagle Scouts awarded on Sunday, November 18, 2012 in the Allen Stake Center.  It was a very nice ceremony and Ethan made us proud.

This court was the reason we booked our tickets to Dallas for Thanksgiving and after we did that, we sent an email to all the children saying we were going to be in Dallas and if they wanted to join us, we would love it.  They all came!

On Monday, November 19 Lana, Staci, Erlynne and families met at Stonebriar Mall to go ice skating.  This was Tristan's first time on the ice.  Uncle Eric was the best coach, right Tristan?  We had a fun morning.

Tatum is in the ring (teal colored long sleeves) while Lana has her back to the camera.  I really was aiming for the two little boys, Crew and Wesley, but people move.

 

This photo got missed when I entered the "hotel" photos.  Here is Reese checking her phone, and so is Guinevere.

On Wednesday evening we brought all the kids to Erlynne's house with two of the Bateman teens to babysit while the adults and older children went to the play "A Christmas Carol" on Turtle Creek.  The play was amazing and when we got back to Erlynne's house, this is how we found Reese.

Tristan shared his new bed with his littlest cousin.  And his favorite blanket.  Such a loving cousin.

On Thursday, Thanksgiving day, after we walked/ran in the Frisco Turkey Trot, we picked up the food from Mimi's Café and I warmed it up in the church kitchen while the kids and adults played and set up the room for our dinner.  Bob and Kathy Campbell joined us.  Staci made the place cards - pears in cups with our names hand printed. 

Almost ready for the feast.  The dads are all in the cultural hall with the kids shooting baskets and rough housing while the rest of us enjoy the quiet before the meal.  After we ate we had a family talent show.  But that is another story.

Wednesday, November 21, 2012 we hired a photographer to take our family pictures.  Our last family photos were taken in August 2007 when Staci and Eric got married.  This is the first time we have all been together in over five years.  It's about time.

After the photos were taken, it was time to play on the metal horse.

"Are you a real cowboy"?  Quote from some hick in a pickup to Chris in Jackson Hole, Wyoming August 1999.  A family joke that always makes us laugh. It came to my mind when I saw Clark on the horse with the boys.
