Sunday, June 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Andrew Methodist Church in Plano, Tx, I sang in the choir to premier "Testament", written by David Featherstone. It was an awesome performance and a great opportunity to be a part of a first time musical feast. We have been rehearsing as a choir since April 1st, and will have a wrap up party this Thursday, June 19th, at which time we may hear if we made enough money to pay for the professional orchestra and soloists and the hall rental. Unfortunately, we didn't pack the hall. We needed 900 people paying $20 a piece to pay for that. We may have had 500 people attend. Some were free (winning tickets on WRR radio station where ads were running for the last two weeks), and some paid less for their tickets (choir members could buy them for $15 a piece, as many as we wanted). It was a fabulous experience!
My advice for today: check out your local paper and radio stations for events happening in your areas. Don't miss too many of them!
